Application
configuration
The s1220 Photo Scanning System may be configured by modifying
the PrintScan.ini file in the directory specified below for your particular
Windows operating system. You can change the location for the output
JPG files (Target_Path) and adjust the folder size for burning CDs or
DVDs. The maximum folder size can be changed by specifying a new
value for the CDFolderSize and DVDFolderSize parameters in the
PrintScan.ini file.
A3 and A4 Flatbed scanner rotation may be set using the
FlatbedRotation parameter.
Reversing the order of the photo faceup scans may be enabled/
disabled using the ReverseFaceUp parameter.
The default values for other parameters are preset to optimal values or
set by the Scan Settings screen and generally do not need to be
modified.
Additional guidance for changing specific parameters may be found in
the PrintScan.ini file.

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\kds_Kodak\s1220 Photo System
Windows Vista and Windows 7:
C:\ProgramData\kds_Kodak\s1220 Photo System
NOTE: These folders may be hidden. If so, you may need to go into the
Windows operating system to display them.
CD/DVD burning
An administrator may provide CD/DVD burning permissions for limited
user rights.
To reach appropriate group permissions panel in Window XP:
1. Click
Start

3. Type

4. Click

5. In the Group policy interface, expand
Computer Configuration,
expand
Windows Settings,
expand
Security Settings,
expand
Local Policies
and
double-click
Security Options
.
6. Set
Devices: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user
only
to
Enabled
.
7. Set
Devices: Allowed to format and eject removable media
to
Administrators
and
Power Users
or to
Administrators
and
Interactive Users
.
