Some maintenance tasks include instructions to open the rear hood or
to open the rear hood and remove the rear panel. To safely open the
rear hood and remove the rear panel, follow the instructions in the
visual reference guide or the user guide.

Rear hood
To access the drum for regular preventive maintenance or error
recovery, you must open the rear hood. This hood is secured with a
solenoid lock.
To unlock the rear hood:

Unlock
operation in Print Console. If any jobs are being
exposed when you click
Unlock
, Print Console displays a message
asking if you want to cancel the jobs before it sends the unlock
