BASS BALANCE CONTROL
a. Set the subwoofer level control (volume) for MIN.
b. Set the subwoofer cut-off frequency (crossover) at 50Hz.
c. Let your assistant set the controls to control the subwoofer according to the following guidelines:
- Slowly turn the controller „volume” in a clockwise direction, until you set the indicative level playing bass to the
level of midrange and high frequencies given by your speakers.
- Deep bass should be clear and clean, but not outstanding.
- Slowly turn „low pass crossover” regulator according to a clockwise direction until you hear the best sound of
medium bass. If the sound is too „weak” or „boomy” it means that you should stop adjustments. Try to get the best
balance.
PHASE
Some locations of subwoofer in your listening room can cause low-frequency phase shifts. If the bass is too
weak and the sound is incorrectly located, try to reverse the polarity (the easiest way is to do it with the main
loudspeakers). The speakers and subwoofer sound best when they are in-phase - meaning their woofers move in
and out in sync with each other. To check your subwoofer’s phase, play music with lots of bass, listen for a minute
or so, and have a friend sitting by the subwoofer flip the subwoofer’s 0-180 - degree phase regulator slowly back
and forth. The correct setting is the one that yields more bass. You may have to try a few different recordings before
you hear any difference, and it might help to turn up the subwoofer’s volume level for this test. If you do not hear any
difference between the 0 and 180-degree settings, leave the phase control in the 0 position.
WARNINGS:
a. The setting procedure outlined above allows you to adjust the KODA subwoofer to work with your speakers. Once
you set the parameters of the subwoofer, you will not have to repeat the above steps - regulators of BASS and
LOUDNESS contour of your amplifier can be used to increase or decrease bass.
b. The acoustics of each room is different. Therefore, the best way to correct subwoofer settings is a method of
experimentation.
AMP SUBWOOFER
The power supply of the subwoofer both during operation amplifier subwoofer and in the standby may generate a
quiet hum. This is consistent with the standards of the manufacturer and does not reduce the sound quality.
