Sitting and listetning to the music in the center of the room, sound of the subwoofer placed in different positions
ususally will be heard in the way pictured below:
Even though low frequencies aren’t directional, for better integration with your system the best way is to place
subwoofer between main or sattellite speakers, nearby back wall. If it is not possible KODA subwoofer should be
placed in any position in the room - it won’t worse stereo imaging of your system.
Read the following part of the manual to ensure the best bass quality:
CONTROLLABILITY OF SUBWOOFER AND INPUTS / OUTPUTS
Active subwoofer series are equipped with regulators that have the availibility to control subwoofer and to make its
operation easier:
• POWER - Switch ON / OFF.
• CROSSOVER – Controls the high frequency cutoff point. Rotated fully clockwise, it cuts high frequencies
above 200 Hz. Rotated fully counterclockwise, it cuts high frequencies above 50 Hz. Cut off regulation is
possible only if two channels are connected to line input - e.g if cable type Y is used.
• VOLUME – This knob adjusts the level of output from your subwoofer. It allows the adjustment of the level of
subwoofer’s amplification to the level of speakers’ amplification.
• PHASE - This knob allows for the fluent adjustment of the phase of the subwoofer, in relation to the speakers
used in your system, 0 or 180 degrees.
• R/SW - Gives opprotunity to connect adjustable sub output with receiver or AV processor.
• L/R – Gives opportunity to connect left and righ output from preamplifier, amplifier or receiver.
• HIGH LEVEL INPUT – Gives opportunity to connect subwoofer with loudspeakers or satellite speakers with
speaker cables.

CAUTION!
Before connecting any cables, please make sure that your receiver or amplifier is disconnected from the
network. Thanks to it you may avoid damages that may arise as a result of accidentally short-circuit cable. Connect
the first channel then the second one.
SETUP FOR THE BEST BASS QUALITY
Getting the full potential of the subwoofer requires careful listening tests - to estimate settings that best „fit” for your
speaker system. Generally, the subwoofer should not attract or distract the listener, but at the same time can not be
weak or difficult to hear. Bass should add „weight” and „confidence” to the sound system.
MAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS
• Use recordings of music or movie soundtrack, which you know well and which contain extended bass that is
repeated or continuous.
• Choose the location and place the subwoofer.
• Connect the subwoofer according to chosen option.
• Set all controls of amplifier, receiver or equalizer to FLAT (0) and turn off the loudness contour.
• Ask someone to help when making adjustment knobs powered subwoofer, or adjust the settings of the
receiver / amplifier for the passive subwoofer, while you sit in your normal listening position.
