  Taking Pictures

Previewing a Picture

Preview photos on the LCD screen before pressing the shutter button.

Turn the Mode dial to Auto 

 or Manual 

 mode.

Press POWER to turn on the camera.

3

The LED indicator next to the viewfinder flashes green.

The image automatically appears on the LCD screen together with informa-
tion about current camera settings.

Setting the LCD Display Mode

Turn the LCD screen preview on or off by pressing DISP.

Press DISP once to turn the on-screen information display (OSD) off.

In Auto, Manual, and Video modes, press DISP once to turn the OSD off,
twice to turn the LCD off, and once again to turn the LCD and OSD on.

Press DISP again to turn the image-only OSD on.

OSD information appears on the LCD screen when the display mode is set to Image
Only or LCD Off mode. OSD information remains on the screen in Auto display mode.
