CARE AND MAINTENANCE
20. Transporting and Storing the Mower
(Fig.20a & 20b)
• Do not store or transport the mower when it is
running. Always remove the battery pack before
storing or transporting.
• Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly as
directed. Lubricate the mower as directed.
• Inspect the blade and replace it or sharpen it, if
required.
• Store the mower at room temperature in a dry,
clean location that is locked and/or inaccessible
to children.
• Keep away from corrosive agents such as
garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
• Do not cover the lawn mower with a solid,
plastic sheet. Plastic coverings trap moisture
around the mower, which causes rust and
corrosion.
• Use the lift-handle (F) to lift the mower.
The handle can be folded down completely for
storage:
a. Remove the grass bag.
b. Move the cutting-height-adjustment lever (R)
toward the front and engage it in the lowest
setting (setting 1).
c. Open the handle-locking clamps (E) and
fully recess the side rails (N) to the compact
position.
d. Pull the two handle-adjustment knobs (M)
outward while turning them 90° counterclockwise or clockwise to the unlocked position.
e. Gently pivot the handle all the way toward the front of the mower.
f. Turn both handle-adjustment knobs (M) 90° and make sure the lock pins engage in the
locked storage position.
g. Store the mower in flat (recommended) or upright position.
WARNING
• If the mower tips over from the upright position, mower damage or personal injury may
result. Always keep the mower stable and out of the reach of children when it is in the
upright position. If possible, lay it flat for storage.
