2 DESCRIPTION
2.1 System Overview
The Sounder 1612 is a portable, low cost, weatherproof system ideal for shallow water to mid-depth surveys. It is a
dual channel system that the user can configure to any frequency between 24kHz and 210kHz allowing water depths
from 15cm up to 2000M+ (transducer dependant). Deeper operating depths obtainable with a 12kHz upgrade option.
The Sounder 1612 can be connected to the same host computer of another Knudsen echosounder to create a three or
four channel system.
2.2 Physical Characteristics
