INSTALLATION
The Chirp 3200 Series Echosounder is housed in a standard 3U rack case. It can be installed to the rack using the
provided mounting holes on the front panel (dimensions shown below). It is also recommended to use rack
supports, especially with the Chirp 3204 Quad Channel system.
It is recommended, but not mandatory, to provide clearance above and below the Chirp 3200 installation in the
rack for ventilation.

System Overview
The Chirp 3200 is a “black box” echosounder that utilizes a PC to allow the user to control all system parameters,
manage peripherals, record entire echogram data, as well as internal and external data logging. The
communication link from the Chirp 3200 to the PC is via USB (full speed 2.0).
3.2
Software Installation
Once installed in the CD-ROM drive of your PC the SounderSuite-USB installation wizard will guide the user
through the installation. For a more detailed explanation of the entire software installation please refer to the
