8.3. Dismantling the pump head
(FEM 1.02 / FEM 1.09 / UFEM 1.09)
Use a screwdriver to undo the head screws (

Remove the head plate (

), connecting plate (

) and intermediate plate (

Removing the valves and seals
Remove valve seats (

)
Remove seals (

), valve disks (

) and O-rings (

)
Cleaning the parts
Clean the diaphragm (

), valve disk (

), seals (

) and O-rings (
8
) with a
cloth and then blow off with compressed air
Blow off the intermediate plate (

) and the connecting plate (

) with com-
pressed air
Mounting the valves and seals
Mount O-rings (
8
) and valve disk (
7
) on valve seat (

Insert seal (

) in connecting plate (

)
Insert valve seats with valve disks (

) and O-rings (

) into connecting
plate (

) (slight pressure required)
Insert the seal (

) in the intermediate plate (

Mounting the pump head
Assemble the intermediate plate (

), connecting plate (
3
) and head plate

Push the assembled components onto the pump housing with finger
pressure
Secure the pump head to the housing using the 4 head screws (

)
The maximum tightening torque for the head screws is 1 Nm.
Head screws that have been undone before should be carefully
screwed in by hand so that the screws engage in the existing
threads.
