For hot applications (temperature of hexagon above 500°C *) the
thread boss should be at least 13 mm or longer to avoid overheating
of the protection tube welding and to cool down the sensor hexagon.
The recommended material for the thread boss in the exhaust pipe is
temperature resistant stainless steel.
