Software setup for KMS MP25 ECU
When using a KMS MP25 ECU, the idle control valve must be defined in the hard-
ware configuration of the ECU. In the main screen of the KMS ECU software pro-
gram, go to ‘ options (F4) ’ and then click ‘ hardware configuration ’. Here you can
enable the idle control and define the pin to which the idle control valve is con-
nected. For setting up the idle control go to the main screen of the software pro-
gram and press ‘ idle control tables (F6)’. See image below for the correct set-
ting, marked in red.
Idle control calibration procedure
•
Disable the idle control valve.
•
Let the engine run under normal operating conditions (normal temperatures
and without use of auxiliary devices like air-conditioning or heavy load on
the alternator).
•
Set the throttle valve at a position that the engine will run at normal idle
speed.
•
Connect the idle control valve and set the software in order to let the idle
valve compensate idle speed when the engine drops below normal idle RPM
(low engine temperature, air-conditioning active, power use of alternator
etc.)
