Device-specific additional instructions for nailer

5
Filling the magazine
•
Ensure that nailer and fasteners are compatible (Chap. 1) with each other.
•
Check fasteners for proper condition.
•
Put nailer carefully down in defined safe resting position (Chap. 4): The driving nose must point away from any
person. It must be impossible to unintendly actuate trigger and/or release protection.
•
Press locking lever and pull the magazine top backwards.
•
If required, empty the magazine:
Never have nails and staples simultaneously in the magazine!
•
Insert fasteners; if required observe filling markers:
•
Insert nails centrally, point first, into the magazine. OR
•
Push staples into the magazine over the ridge.
•
Insert magazine until it locks.
6
Adjusting drive-in depth
•
Reduce pneumatic operating pressure as far as possible to minimize blowback,
noise and air consumption (see General operating instructions).
Mechanical adjustment of drive-in depth:
•
Disconnect nailer from pneumatic supply.
•
Turn adjustment ring ('
qu
' in Fig. 1 right) with supplied hexagon screwdriver or
with pin (max. diameter 4.5 mm (0.18 in)).
Each turn from hole to hole equals a height change of 0.2 mm (0.01 in); max.
possible height change is 6 mm (0.24 in).
Turning to the right increases the drive-in depth, turning to the left decreases it.
•
Check current setting: It equals the distance between the screw head and the
flange's contact surface. (max. distance = 6 mm; greatest drive-in depth)
7
Removing stuck fasteners from the driving channel
In case of a deformed and/or stuck fastener in the driving channel:
•
The driving channel's front is elastic. A stuck fastener will widen the channel, and
ideally the fastener falls out.
If this is not possible or not sufficient, open the driving channel:
•
Disconnect nailer from pneumatic supply.
•
Hit driving nose
slanted
and with moderate force onto a wooden surface
(see Fig. 1), to open the guide plate (
'c'
in Abb. 1).
•
Remove fasteners.
•
Hit driving nose
vertically
and with moderate force onto a wooden surface
(see Fig. 2), to close the guide plate.
•
Completely empty the magazine.
•
Carefully re-connect nailer to pneumatic supply.
