They become solid once the battery is completely charged. See image

4. Basic operation
4.1 Charging the twin speakers
1. Plug the USB cable into a power source and the micro-USB end into
the corresponding port of each unit.
2. When the battery is depleted, it will take around 4 hours to charge to
its full capacity.
