3.2 Brief description of the important
features of the unit
The hydraulic unit incorporates an automatic retraction which returns the piston into its starting position when the
maximum operating pressure is reached.
The unit is equipped with a special brake which stops the forward motion of the piston/dies when the trigger is re-
leased.
A manual retraction allows the user to return the piston into the starting position in case having selected the wrong
cable.
An automatic retraction stops the retraction of the piston depending on the connector size which saves time and
energy.
The tool is equipped with a microprocessor which shuts off the motor automatically after the crimp is completed,
indicates service intervals and low battery charges and performs internal checks sending out acoustical and optical
warning signals in case of a detected fault.
