Setting the timer
You can use the timer in 2 different ways:
• You can set the timer so that the cooking zones do not switch off automatically
once the time has elapsed.
• You can adjust the timer to switch off the zones after the time has elapsed.
• The maximum time that can be set is 99 minutes.
Set timer without selecting a cooking zone (alarm clock)
1.
Make sure the hob is switched on. You can use the timer even if you have not
selected a cooking zone.
2. Touch the timer buttons [+] or [-]. The timer indicator starts
flashing and "30" is shown in the display.
3. Set the time by touching the timer buttons [+] or [-].
Note:
Touch the timer buttons [+] or [-] briefly to increase or
decrease the time by one minute. Touch and hold the timer
buttons [+] or [-] to increase or decrease the time by 10 minutes.
4. Once you have set the time, the timer starts counting down.
The display shows the remaining time and the timer indicator
flashes for 5 seconds.
5. Once the time is up, the unit beeps for 30 seconds and the
display shows "--".
Note:
The cooking zones remain switched on as this function is only a short-
time alarm. The cooking zones are neither switched on nor off with the alarm
function.
