Button Function
Defrost Thoroughly toast frozen bread with
an extended toasting cycle.
ON/OFF Toasts bread.
Bagel Toasts bagels by using only one side of the
heating element.
CANCEL Press at any time to stop toasting.
The toaster has three buttons to defrost frozen bread, toast bread that has cooled, and
toast bagels crispy on one side and warm on the other. In order to use the buttons,
insert your bread into the bread slot and press down the toasting lever. Then press the
appropriate button.
When the Defrost, ON/OFF or Bagel buttons are pressed, the relevant indicator lights
up and remains illuminated until the toast cycle is complete, or until the CANCEL button
is pressed.
WARNING! If bread becomes stuck inside the toaster, unplug the toaster and let it cool
before trying to remove the bread. Do not use a knife or any other sharp metal tool to
do so, and do not touch the metal parts inside the toaster. Make sure the bread slice is
not too thick.
SOME TIPS FOR PERFECT TOASTING
Toasting is a combination of cooking and drying bread. As moisture levels differ from
one bread to another, toasting limes can vary.
For slightly dry bread, use a lower browning setting.
For fresh bread or wholemeal bread, use a higher setting.
Bread products with a very uncommon surface (such as English muffins) will require a
higher setting, or press the Bagel button for perfect results.
Thickly cut pieces of bread will take longer to toast, sometimes significantly longer, since
more moisture must be evaporated from the bread before toasting can occur.
When toasting raisin or other fruit broad, remove any loose raisins from the surface of
tho broad before placing tho slices into tho toaster. This will help prevent pieces from
falling into tho toaster or sticking on the guard wire in the slot.
