Basic use
alarm 2
1. Put the XDock3 into standby mode
2. Press (don’t hold) the Vol+ (4) button
3. Press the Up (6) or Down (5) buttons to select between buzzer, iPod, or radio to wake you up, followed by the Vol+ (4) to confirm
4. Press the Up (6) or Down (5) buttons to change the hours, followed by the Vol+ (4) to confirm
5. Press the Up (6) or Down (5) buttons to change the minutes, followed by the Vol+ (4) to confirm
6. Press the Up (6) or Down (5) buttons to change the alarm volume, followed by the Vol+ (4) to confirm
7. The alarm is now set
snooze
Press the Snooze button (7). The alarm will then stop and then resume again in nine minutes.
note:
The alarm will repeat every day until it is disabled. If you have selected to be woken up with your iPod/iPhone but have
not docked it, you will be woken with the buzzer.
In order to wake up to your iPhone or iPod, it must be docked and the XDock3 must be in standby mode. If it is in the play
mode, no alarm will sound. If your iPhone or iPod has less than one hour of songs, put it in repeat mode.
stop the alarm
Whilst the alarm is sounding or in snooze state, press the Power/Mode (1) button to stop the alarm.
Cancel the set alarms
With the XDock3 in standby mode, press Vol– (3) or Vol+ (4) once. The alarm 1 or alarm 2 icons respectively will disappear.
adjusting the screen brightness
To make the screen brighter, slide the brightness slider (12) up. To make the screen dimmer, slide the brightness slider (12) down.
Playing music
iPod/iPhone
1. Dock your iPhone/iPod onto the XDock3 and then press the Power/Mode button (1) if the XDock3 is in standby mode
2. If not already in iPod mode, press the Power/Mode button (1) up to 2 more times to change to iPod mode
3. Music will then automatically start playing through the XDock3
4. To play/pause the music, press the Menu button (2)
5. To adjust the volume, press Vol– (3) or Vol+ (4)
6. To skip to the next or previous track, press the Up (6) or Down (5) button respectively
note:
You can also play/pause and skip track using the controls on your iPod/iPhone. The volume can only be changed using
the controls on the XDock3.
aux input
The aux input allows you to use most other smartphones/tablets/MP3 players etc. with the XDock3. To use the aux input:
1. Plug one end of an aux cable (not supplied) into the aux port (11)
2. Plug the other end of the aux cable into your device
3. If the XDock3 is in standby mode, press the Power/Mode button (1)
4. Press the Power/Mode button (1) up to 2 more times to change to Aux mode
5. Once Aux mode is selected, music will then play through the XDock3
6. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and the XDock3
note:
The play/pause and skip track functions on the XDock3 will not operate in aux mode.
