Using the aux audio input

1.   With the Sonar turned on, insert the 3.5mm audio cable into the Aux

input (7) on the Sonar

2.   Plug the other end of the aux cable into the audio/headphone output

on an MP3 player or other audio source

3.   Whilst the Sonar is in Bluetooth mode, press the Mode button (5) and

you will hear 2 beeps

4.   Any active Bluetooth connection will disconnect and audio will now

only play through aux

5.  The volume can be adjusted on both your device and the Sonar

note:

The Play/Pause (1) button acts as a mute function in aux mode.

Also, the skip track functions on the Sonar will not operate in aux mode.

Please nOTe:

Your device will have an internal amplifier and if it is playing digital files
like MP3s it will also have an integrated DAC (Digital Audio Converter).
If you turn up the volume to 100%, your device will be sending distorted
signals to the Sonar. To avoid this and to get the best sound quality from
the speaker, we recommend that you do not run your device any higher
than 95% volume.

PC UsB Mode

The Sonar can be connected via USB to a PC to play audio. To enable
PC USB mode:
1.  Make sure the Sonar is switched off
2.  Plug the Sonar into your PC using the provided micro USB cable
3.  Switch the ON/OFF switch (10) to the ON position
4.   Wait for a 10 seconds, press the Mode button (5) and you should

hear 3 beeps

5.  The Sonar will enter PC mode and drivers will install on your PC
6.  Once the drivers are installed, sound should then play through the Sonar
7.   Volume is controlled on the Sonar and the media player you are using

(volume control in the taskbar will not work)

note:

If sound is not playing through the Sonar after the drivers are

installed, you may need to set the audio output on the PC:
1.   Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right corner and click

‘Playback devices’

2.  USB audio should be in the list
3.  Right click USB audio and click ‘set as default device’
4.  Music should then play through the Sonar
