Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fi re, electrical shock, and/or injury to persons, basic safety
precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including
the following:

Read all instructions before using the appliance.

Read and follow the specifi c “PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO
EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY” section found on pg. 4.

This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to a properly grounded outlet. See
the “GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS” section found on pg. 5.

Install or locate the appliance only in accordance with the provided installation
instructions.

Some products, such as whole eggs and sealed containers (e.g. closed glass jar),
are able to explode and should not be heated in the microwave oven.
6.
Use the microwave only for its intended use as described in the user guide. DO NOT
use corrosive chemicals or vapors in the microwave. This type of oven is specifi cally
designed to heat, cook, or defrost food. It is not designed for industrial or laboratory
use.
7.
As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary when used by children or
incapacitated persons.
8.
DO NOT operate the microwave if it has a damaged power cord or plug, if it is not
working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped in any manner.
9.
The microwave should be serviced only by a qualifi ed service personnel. Contact the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
10. DO NOT cover or block any openings on the appliance.
11. DO NOT store the microwave outdoors. DO NOT use the microwave near water (e.g.
near a kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or similar locations).
12. DO NOT immerse the power cord or plug in water.
13. Keep the cord away from all heated surfaces.
14. DO NOT let the power cord hang over the edge of the tabletop or the countertop.
15. When the cleaning surfaces of the door and the oven frame come together upon
closing the door, use only mild, nonabrasive soaps or detergents applied with a
sponge or soft cloth.
