Be sure to use the chuck at the gripping range. If exceeded the above range,
the engaged part strength between the jaw and scroll becomes insufficient,
thus scattering the chuck jaw or work and resulting in danger.

Since there is a possibility that the jaw is protruded from chuck periphery by
the size of gripping diameter, take extreme care so as not to interfere with tool,
etc.
3-3. Relationship between handle torque and gripping force
Fig.5 shows relationship between handle torque and gripping force.
The gripping force is different depending on the state of grease lubrication, grease in use,
height of the jaw, etc. The maximum static gripping force specified in the specification is the
value under the following conditions:

The Kitagawa standard jaw is used as the jaw.
・
Tightened at the maximum permissible handle torque.
・
The numerical values are obtained with the Kitagawa gripping force meter . The gripping
position of the gripping force meter is at a position 1/2 of the height of the jaw top
surface (height from the chuck surface to the top surface of the jaw).
・
Specified grease is used.
