General Safety Rules:
Work Area:
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Do not expose to rain or operate in a damp location.
• Keep bystanders, children and visitors away while operating the Handi-Butler tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Specific Personal Safety Rules:
• Stay alert. Watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the Handi-
Butler tool. Do not use while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention while operating may result in serious personal injury.
• Use Safety Equipment. Always wear safety glasses or goggles when using the Handi-
Butler tool. Wear a dust mask for dusty operations.
• Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch on the Sentria system and the air vents
on the Handi-Butler tool are in the off position before plugging in. Plugging in tools
that have the switch on invites accidents. Do not leave tool in a dangerous position.
When turning on the cleaner, make sure it is unobstructed.
• After changing tools or making adjustments, make sure the tip of the Flexible Shaft
or Rotator Shaft and any other adjustment devices are securely tightened. Remove
adjustment wrenches before using. A wrench or key left attached to a rotating part
may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the Handi-Butler tool in unexpected situations.
• Keep hair, clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving
parts. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Restrain long hair.
• Secure work. Use clamps or a vise to hold work whenever practical. It's safer than
using your hand and it frees both hands to operate the tool. Allow at least 6 inches
