2. Enabling PIN Authentication
To authentication users from IP phones personal identification number (PIN) authentication needs to be
enabled on Lync Server, and an appropriate PIN policy need to be in place.
To enable PIN Authentication, click
Security
in the Lync Server Control Panel left navigation bar.

Click
Registrar
tab. Open the
Global
policy properties and select check boxes next to
Enable
Integrated Windows authentication
and
Enable certificate authentication
.

Click
Web Service
tab. Open the
Global
policy properties and select all check boxes.
