
ADJUSTMENTS & OPERATION
CHANGING THE BLADE
1. Make sure the Toe-Kick Saw is unplugged from
the power source.
2. Press the spindle lock button (A) Fig.3, turn
blade until the spindle locks, to prevent the
blade from turning.
3. Using the supplied 5mm hex. key, loosen and
remove the countersunk hd allen screw (A)
Fig.4, remove the blade (B), then remove the
rear blade flange (C).
4. Clean the rear blade flange (C) Fig.4 (and arbor
shaft) and reinstall it. Reinstall an identical
blade making sure the blade teeth are facing
the direction of rotation (counterclockwise
viewed from the bottom). A replacement blade
model KW-170 is available, contact your
nearest King Canada product retailer for more
information.
5. Reposition the blade countersunk hd allen
screw (A) Fig.4 into the spindle shaft. Before
tightening securely, make sure the blade is
centered and seated properly on the rear blade
flange (C) Fig.4.
6. Depress the spindle lock button (A) Fig.3 to lock
the spindle to prevent the blade from turning
and tighten the countersunk head screw
securely using the 5mm hex. key.
7. Make sure the lock mechanism has disengaged
and the blade is spinning freely before turning
tool on.
ADJUSTING THE DEPTH OF CUT
WARNING:
Before attempting to use your
Toe-Kick saw, the depth of cut must be set.
1. Set the Toe-Kick saw on its base and stand.
2. This Toe-Kick Saw comes with 4 depth of cut
settings (1/4”, 3/8”, 5/8”, 3/4”). Simply rotate the
depth of cut plate (A) Fig.5 until the desired
depth of cut is set.
NOTE: Fig.5 shows the depth of cut plate set for 3/8” depth of cut (B) Fig.5.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of serious injury, adjust the depth of cut to just barely clear
the workpiece.
