Calibration
The PAT is shipped after carrying out appropriate calibrations. We recommend periodic
calibration to maintain the performance over an extended period.
For calibration, contact your Kikusui agent or distributor.
If you are going to calibrate the PAT yourself, follow the procedures below.
The calibration procedures given in this section includes all calibration items of the PAT.
8.3.1
Calibration Overview
The following six calibration items are available.
•
Output voltage and voltmeter
•
Output current and ammeter
•
Overvoltage protection
•
Overcurrent protection
•
Output voltage control
•
Output current control
Test Equipment Required
For calibration, the following equipment is necessary.
•
DC voltmeter (DVM) with measuring accuracy of 0.02 % or better.
•
Shunt (See Table 8-1)

Environment
Perform calibration under the following environment.
•
Temperature: 23 ° C ± 5 ° C
•
Relative humidity: 80 % or less
To minimize the calibration error due to initial drift, warm up the PAT for at least 30
minutes before calibration. In addition, warm up the DVM and shunt resistor
adequately.
