Step 13: Access Ladder Assembly
Part 1
A:
Insert 3 (1578) Dowels into (2846) Ladder Rail Right and (2845) Ladder Rail Left, as shown in fig. 13.1.
Making sure that the holes in both rails are at the top, facing outwards.
B:
Make sure shoulder of dowel is against each rail before pre-drilling pilot holes. Drill 1/8”(3.2mm) pilot holes
through the rails and into the dowels to prevent splitting. (fig. 13.2)
C:
Attach (1578) Dowels to both rails with 2 (S3) #8 x 2-1/2” Wood Screws per dowel. (fig. 13.3 and 13.4)
Pre-drill 1/8" pilot holes through
Dowels to prevent splitting.
Then fasten the screws to
secure the Dowels. Check that
screw has properly secured the
dowel.
