To play music files using the USB connection, first gently open the mini USB socket cover

from the radio. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the radio USB socket at

Connect your USB device to the USB connector cable large socket. The radio will
automatically switch to the USB mode and music playback will begin.
To return to another mode, press MODE button

Note:

When the USB device is selected,

USB PLAY

is displayed for a short time.

If there are no compatible music files found on the USB device, the radio returns to the
previous mode and displays

NO FILE

The USB file music playback function uses the same controls and features as used for the
playback of MP3 and WMA files from a CD. Please refer to page 25 to 27 for details of
how to control music playback using USB as the file source.

Effective battery charging of USB devices using socket

Only 32 character file names are displayed.

Only FAT, FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 file systems are supported.
