Model Generator Workflow
Power Electronics Model Generator (PEMG) Software
Model Generator Workflow
After installing and licensing the PEMG software, launch the software from the
Windows
Start > IC-CAP 2018 > Power Electronics Model Generator
. Select either a
New Project
, open an
Existing Project
, or you can open an
Example Project
.
To extract a model in the Model Generator follow sequentially the five steps
visible in the Tab bar on the left side. For detailed information about each step,
refer to the PD1000A Help Files or the PEMG software help file.
Each step depends on the previous step(s). Once they are all completed, it is
possible to jump between steps to make modifications to individual items.
Step 1 - Project Definition
First define project parameters, set model flags and device
constants related to you device and project.
Step 2 - Import Measured Data
Load the measurement / characterization data from a highly
structured directory.
Step 3 - Extract Model
In this step you execute the extraction flow. You can run the
manual or automatic model extract to get to the final model
parameters.
Step 4 - Verify Model
After the model is extracted, review the model accuracy. Use the
“Verify” Tab to define model quality checks and plots you would
like to use for your report about the achieved model accuracy.
Step 5 - Export Report and Model
In the Last step you can export the device model parameters and
create a HTML / PDF report based on the defined “Verify” plots.
