Installation Procedure for the Upgrade
Step 4.Remove the Front Panel Assembly

Step 5.Remove the A19 Test Set Motherboard

Step 6.Remove Some Existing Semi-rigid Test Set Cables
1.
Place the analyzer bottom-side up on a flat surface.
2.
Remove all bottom-side semi-rigid cables except for those in the table
below. To see an image showing the location of these cables, click the
Chapter 6 bookmark “Bottom RF Cables, 2-Port, Option 217” in the PDF
Service Guide
. Do not discard the cables because some will be reused
later in the procedure.
3.
Leave the gray flexible cables, the wire harnesses, and the ribbon cables
connected where possible. Any that are removed should be labeled for
reconnection later.

Be careful not to damage the center pins of the semi-rigid cables. Some
flexing of the cables may be necessary but do not over-bend them.
