Instructions for Starter batteries
1. Remove and Install the Battery
•
Before removing the battery, the engine and any electrical equipment should be off.
•
Avoid creating a short with the tool.
•
When removing; first disconnect the negative terminal and then the positive.
•
Clean the terminals nd treat them with acid-free grease.
•
Before putting the battery in position, first clean its base.
•
Clamp the battery firmly in position.
•
First connect the positive terminal and then the negative terminal.
•
Ensure the connections are fastened tightly.
•
Leave at least one gas opening unlocked
•
This also applies to the transport of waste batteries.
2. External Charging
•
Read and carefully follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the charger.
•
Before loading Check electrolyte level and top up if necessary.
•
Disonnect the battery and remove it from the machine.
•
Ensure good ventilation.
•
Only use a suitable DC charger to charge battery.
•
Connect the positive output from the battery charger to the positive battery terminal and
the negative accordingly.
•
Switch on the charger after battery connection and only switch off the charger after
charging .
•

3. Maintenance
•
Keep the battery clean and dry
•
Do not use enhancing agents
•
Do not open the battery
•
In the case of insufficient starting power, recharge the battery.
4. Jump Starting
•
Use only standard jumper cables and observe their instructions for use.
•
Only use batteries of the same voltage rating.
•
You may jump start from a car
•
First, connect both positive terminals ( + ) to the red jumper cable . Then, clamp to the
negative terminal ( - ) of the donor battery . Then connect it to the second terminal clamp
on one of the bare spots of needy machine.
•
Let it charge for 15 seconds and then try to start the machine.
•
Once started, disconnect the cables in reverse order.
