Q. Can I add 6 meters to my TS-570D(G)
A. No, they are different radio’s
Q. Why does my TS-570D/S (G) have a * in the display?
A. Because you have gone into the MENU 50, and have turned on the RX Equalizer.
Q. What is the difference between the D, and the D(G)
A. The upgrade consists of replacing the 64 pin CPU, which will add 5 more position on your menu
choices. This is the FIRST time any manufacturer has come out with a newer model, and has
given the opportunity to its customer to upgrade without having to buy a New radio…WOW…
Q. Can I use my TS-570 D/S(G) for QRP use?
A. Yes you sure can, and the power adjustments start at 5 watts and go up to 100 watts in increments
of 5 watts at a time.
Q. How can I upgrade my TS-570D/S?
A. By sending it to Kenwood Service Center East or West only. The upgrade is $125.00 plus
shipping.
Q. Can I mount my TS-570D/S in my car?
A. Yes with the optional MB-430M2 mounting bracket
Q. How do I interface my TS-570D/S to a computer?
A. The back of the TS-570D/S has a RS232 port with a DB-9 connector, you do not have to
Buy any optional external interface units for the TS-570D/S. Also the RCP software for the
TS-570D/S is on the Kenwood web page

. It is pretty simple just get a
straight through DB-9 to DB-9 for computer hook up.
Q. Can the TS-570D/S be used with digital modes such as packet, and PSK-31?
A. Yes
Q. Will the automatic antenna tuner on the TS-570S also tune on 6 meters?
A. Yes it will tune 6 meters also
Q. Is the tone/encoder unit included in the TS-570D/S?
A. Yes , and its on menu number 18
Q. What are the connections for hooking up an amplifier?
A. Pin 4 is Relay, Pin 2 is Ground, and Pin 6 is ALC
Q. Can the TS-570D/S be remote controlled?
A. Yes it can with Kenwood Sky Command using either TWO (2 ) TH-79AKSS, or TWO TH-D7A,
or TWO TM-D700A, or ONE TH-D7A, and ONE TM-D700A. Some optional cables are
required for use with the handhelds, and mobile radio.
Q. I have made the right connection for an amplifier, but my amplifier does work why?
A. Go to menu 39, and turn the amplifier relay to the ON position
