The dirt trap protects the downstream installation from pollu-
tion. It must be checked or cleaned annually.
Close the maintenance cut-off in the feed pipe to the
break tank station.
Open the cover of the dirt trap; water will come out.
Clean or replace the dirt trap
(clean your hands thoroughly first).
Screw the dirt trap with the cover back into the
body.
Open the maintenance cut-off again.
Check for leaks.
