A FEW STEPS TO PERFECT PREPARATION
Rice congee is rice porridge, which is eaten mainly for breakfast in Asitian countries. You can, for
example, eat it sweet in which you add sugar or you add broth instead of water. The preparation takes
about 90 minutes.
1. The amount of water to add is 6 measuring cups of water per 1 measuring cup of rice. You can vary the
amount according to taste. Close the lid. Make sure that the lid clicks into place.
2. Press the CONGEE button. The red indicator lights up and a beep will sound.
3. When the rice is ready, the appliance stops cooking. The warning light flashes red for approx. 10
minutes and the device then switches to the warm-up mode.

5. For best results, it is recommended that the rice porridge be drawn 10-15 minutes before serving with
the lid open.
To steam food, use the included steamer insert made of stainless steel. This is dishwasher safe.
The preparation times listed in the table below are reference values and should be used as a guide.
