KELSO WARRANTY POLICY

The KELSO Warranties referred to below are provided by AMES Australasia Pty Ltd ABN 89 169 427 061 (AMES) of Level 1, 660 Doncaster 

Road, Doncaster, Victoria 3108.

 

THE 2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

 

On the terms and conditions set out below, Ames warrants that all Kelso branded products will be free from defects in workmanship and 

materials for a period of 2 years.  

1. General:
 

1.1  The 2 Year Limited Warranty period applies for 2 years from the date of purchase from an authorised Kelso reseller.

 

1.2  If a Kelso branded product fails to meet the 2 Year Limited Warranty during the warranty period, then Ames will repair or replace (at  

 

 

its election) the product at no costs to you. The 2 Year Limited Warranty covers the costs of labour and materials only where they are  

 

 

used to repair a manufacturing or material defect in the product.

 

1.3  Proof of purchase (a copy of the tax receipt detailing the date of the purchase, the product purchased & the place of purchase) from an  

 

 

authorised Kelso reseller is required for all warranty claims.

 

1.4  The 2 Year Limited Warranty period is not extended if the product is replaced as a result of a warranty claim.

 

1.5  The 2 Year Limited Warranty period does not apply to rental / hire of any Kelso branded products.

2.  2 Year Limited Warranty exclusions:
 

2.1.  Freight costs between the consumer and the place of purchase, between the consumer and a Kelso company owned centre,  

 

 

 

are not covered by the 2 Year Limited Warranty. You will be responsible for these costs.  

 

2.2.  Damage caused directly or indirectly by accident, misuse, use not in accordance with any instructions or directions provided with the  

 

 

product, neglect, abuse or shipping / freight accident is excluded. 

 

2.3.  Damage caused directly or indirectly by use, misuse or abuse of non-genuine parts, or non-approved accessories or attachments used  

 

 

in connection with the product is excluded. For the purposes of the 2 Year Limited Warranty, non-approved parts, accessories and  

 

 

attachments are those not manufactured by Ames.

 

2.4.  Ordinary wear & tear incurred during the course of normal use of the product is excluded. For the purposes of the 2 Year Limited   

 

 

Warranty, ordinary wear & tear includes degradation consistent with that expected for a product of its age, when used in the regular  

 

 

manner and in the normal application the product was designed for, as assessed by Ames.

 

2.5.  Failure or damage caused directly or indirectly by excessive use of the product within the 2 Year Limited Warranty period is excluded.  

 

 

For the purposes of this warranty, excessive use is deemed to have occurred when a product is assessed by Ames as displaying wear  

 

 

& tear that is considered abnormal for a product of its age, when used in the regular manner and in the normal application the product  

 

 

was designed for.

 

2.6.  Damage caused by the environment, including corrosion and discolouration due to ultraviolet light or improper storage, care or    

 

 

maintenance is excluded.

 

2.7.  The 2 Year Limited Warranty does not apply to service or part costs of replacing and maintaining consumable parts which have ceased  

 

 

working due to ordinary wear & tear. These excluded items are:

 

 

2.7.1.  All accessories (including those sold with the product)

 

 

2.7.2.  Motors or engines

 

 

2.7.3.  Wheels, bearings, tires & inner tubes

    2.7.4. Axles
 

 

2.7.5.  Gears, pulleys & belts

 

 

2.7.6.  All maintenance & wear items

 

 

2.7.7.  Electrical cords & switches

 

2.8.  The 2 Year Limited Warranty does not apply to any Kelso branded product where a modification to the product as originally  

 

 

 

manufactured has occurred, or where actual or attempted repair work on the product has been carried out by anyone other than an  

 

 

Ames authorised service technician, or where a repair used non-genuine Kelso parts.

 

2.9.  The 2 Year Limited Warranty does not apply to products purchased from an unauthorised Kelso reseller, including on-line trading 

 

 

companies or private individuals that are not authorised Kelso resellers in Australia, New Zealand or the South Pacific Islands.

 

 

30 DAY LIMITED WARRANTY ON KELSO REPAIRS AND SERVICING

On the terms and conditions set out below, Ames warrants that all Kelso branded products that have undergone a warranty repair or servicing 

by an authorised Kelso warranty repairer or servicer will be free from defects in workmanship of the repair and parts used in the repair for 30 

days from the date of completion of the repair.

3. General:
 

3.1.  If a Kelso branded product fails to meet the 30 Day Limited Warranty on Kelso repairs during the 30 day warranty period, then    

 

 

Ames will repair or replace (at its election) the relevant part(s) at no costs to you.  

 

3.2.  Evidence of the date of the previous repair is required to claim the Kelso limited warranty on a repair.

 

3.3.  All other warranty conditions and exclusions that apply to the 2 Year Limited Warranty apply to this 30 Day Limited Warranty on
