SERVICE INTERVAL MEASURE
Flails Before each use Replace all defective flails. Sharp blades give better results.
When replacing blades, tighten bolts fully.

Belts Before each use Belt tensioning The belt should move 20 mm under pressure.
Hydraulics Before each use Check that all hoses are intact, connected and leak-proof.
The equipment After each use Wash off earth and grass with water.
DANGER!
Ensure that all parts have stopped rotating before carrying out any operation on the machine!
When the PTO is disconnected, the PTO drive shaft stops rotating.
However, this does not mean that all parts of the mower have stopped moving.
Be cautious, and wait a few minutes in order to be sure that all parts have stopped moving.
CONNECTING THE EQUIPMENT
• Connect the machine to the tractor's rear 3-point linkage.
• Connect the PTO shaft. Secure the chain properly. Adjust the length of the PTO shaft if
necessary. (See directions for shortening PTO shaft on page 34.)
• Connect hydraulic hoses. Raise the equipment and check its functioning.
• Ready for use.
OPERATION
• Lower the mower to the ground so that the support roller and skids touch the ground.
• The machine is not intended for cultivating the ground. Ensure that the blades do not touch
the ground. The cutting head must only cut grass.
• Allow the tractor's power take-off to reach the correct speed (540 rpm) before operation begins.
• Adjust the tractor's speed to suit the material to be cut. Recommended speed is 3 km/h.
• Raise the machine when operating on uneven ground.
