The CR4 is supplied with parallel connectors and shrinkable sleeves. To connect cables to each
other, first pull one of the shrinkable sleeves over one of the cables to be connected, then slide
all cable ends to be connected into a parallel connector. Crimp the sleeve with suitable pliers.
Then pull the shrinkable sleeve over the connection and shrink it, e.g., with a hot air dryer.
Connect the cables leading out of the CR4 to the following cables from the motorcycle
cable harness:
Power supply
• Black cable to battery negative
• Red cable with large cross-section of battery positive, fuse: for LED indicators: 10 A; for bulb
indicators: 15 A
Insert the enclosed fuse holder into the cable. Use the enclosed 10 A fuse for LED indicators
and the 15 A fuse for bulb indicators.
Control lamp
The CR4 has an output for a control lamp that performs various functions. The enclosed LED
signal lamp can be used as a control lamp. Alternatively, if available, the original hazard
warning control lamp or another, unused, original control lamp can also be used. The
operating voltage of the lamp must be 12 V.
• Blue cable to control lamp positive (included control lamp: positive cable is red)
• Connect control lamp negative to earth (enclosed control lamp: negative cable is blue)
Indicators – Comfort flasher system
• Red cable with small cross-section to ignition positive in the socket of the original relay
(49 or B)
• Grey-blue cable to the contact leading to the indicator switch in the socket of the original
relay (49a or L)
• There are two grey cables with a large cross-section. One is connected to the indicator
positive cable on the left, the other to the indicator positive cable on the right. It does not
matter whether you connect the cables to the front or rear indicators.
Acoustic signal emitter / horn – alarm system
We recommend installing a separate acoustic signal emitter, e.g., art. no. 123.976. However, it is
also possible to use the original horn.
