Communication connections
Use the information in Figure 2 (2700), Figure 3 (2701), or Figure 4 (2750) to con-
nect the desired communications port of the instrument.
WARNING Before making or breaking connections, turn off the instru-
ment, disconnect the line cord, and disconnect any external cir-
cuitry connected to the mainframe or switching modules.
Communication configuration
Factory communication settings
Models 2700 and 2750 – These Integra instruments are shipped from the factory
with the GPIB communications selected and set to primary address 16.
Model 2701 – This Integra instrument is shipped from the factory with the Ether-
net interface selected and with the following settings:
IP Address: 192.168.000.002
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.000
Gateway: 192.168.000.001
The interface settings for your computer must be compatible with the interface set-
tings for the Model 27xx. You can change the interface settings for your computer
or you can change the interface settings of the Model 27xx.
Checking and/or changing Integra communications settings
Use the “Communications configuration” information in Figure 1 (2700), Figure 2
(2701), or Figure 3 (2750) to check and/or change communications settings. While in
the menu structure for a communication interface, use the edit keys (see Figure 5 ) to
check or change settings.
NOTE If you select the alternate interface type (e.g., enabling (ON) the
RS-232 while the GPIB is presently selected), the instrument will
reboot. You will have to re-enter the menu structure to check/change
the other settings.
