CALIBRATION
Your RAPT Pill comes pre-calibrated from the factory. Due to minor tolerance differences, this
calibration can be improved by performing a manual user calibration.
1.
Connect your Pill via a USB-C cable to your Mac or PC, or connect your Mac or PC to your
Pill’s Wifi network. Either will open the RAPT Pill Portal automatically
.

Once the RAPT Pill Portal is open on your browser and your RAPT Pill is connected to your
Wifi network (See

screen.

Make a note of the IP address (usually in the form 192.168.0.XXXX).

Enter the IP address into your browser (we recommend Chrome). This will open the RAPT Pill
Portal white the Pill is plugged into your Mac or PC with a USB-C cable.

Right click the calibration button and select ‘Open in New Tab’. Then do the same
with the
diagnostic button to open the Diagnostic screen in a new tab.
IMPORTANT: The RAPT Pill is designed to disconnect from the RAPT Portal once the USB-C cable is
unplugged to preserve battery life. Beginning the Calibration process with prevent this from
occurring. Hence, keeping both the Calibration and Diagnostic screens open allows you to easily
calibrate the RAPT Pill without losing connection to the Portal.
Having the Diagnostic screen open allows you to easily determine angle, temperature etc. via its real
time telemetry which are required for advanced and custom calibration.
For advanced and custom calibration, it is best to have Calibration open in one tab, and Diagnostics
open in another. Note that you may be prompted to press a button to confirm that you wish to keep
the portal open

this is normal.
Once the diagnostic and Calibration screens are open, please assemble your Pill according to the
directions so that it can be removed from the USB and calibrated according to the instructions
below.
There are three ways to calibrate your RAPT Pill.
1: Standard Calibration
Standard calibration is the quickest and simplest method of calibration. It is also potentially the least
accurate. Fill a container of sufficient volume to hold it in suspension with a liquid of known gravity.
It is simplest and easiest to use water. Once the angle reading has stabilised* enter the gravity
(1.000 for water) and hit Calibrate. Wait until the screen indicates that calibration is complete.
Your Pill is now ready to use!
* The angle will never be completely steady, as it is extremely sensitive. Hit Calibrate when the RAPT
Pill has stabilised as much as possible.
