Virtual Technician

Stretch Tuning

Stretch Tuning is a piano-specific tuning method in which the tuning for the lower notes is slightly lower and the

tuning for the higher notes is slightly higher than the settings made in the Equal temperament.

This section explains the setting of Stretch Tuning to On/Off/Piano Only.

The Stretch Tuning setting allows the degree of stretch tuning to be adjusted when Equal temperament are

selected.

1. Selecting the Stretch Tuning setting

After selecting the Equal Temperament type (page 101):

Press the

MENU buttons to select the Stretch Tuning

setting.

2. Selecting the Stretch Tuning type

Press the

VALUE buttons to cycle through the Stretch

Tuning setting.

* When the Stretch Tuning setting is set to ‘Piano Only’, stretch tuning

will be applied to acoustic piano sounds only.

* Any changes made to the Stretch Tuning setting will remain until the

power is turned off.

* Preferred Stretch Tuning settings can be stored to a Registration

memory for convenient recall. Please refer to page 34 for more

information.

3. Exiting the Stretch Tuning setting

Press the

and

MENU buttons simultaneously to exit the

Stretch Tuning setting and return to the main settings menu.
