Temperament

1. Selecting the Temperament setting
Press and hold the TRANSPOSE and USB buttons simultaneously,
then press the DRAWBAR button.
The LED indicator for the DRAWBAR button will start to flash,
and the current Temperament setting will be shown in the LED
display.
2. Changing the Temperament type
Press the

VALUE buttons to cycle through the different
Temperament types.
3. Changing the Key of Temperament
When using a temperament other than Equal temperament, the key signature of the piece must also be specified.
* This setting will only affect the ‘balance’ of the tuning system, the pitch of the keyboard will remain unchanged.
Press a key on the keyboard to specify the key of temperament.
The specified key of temperament will be shown in the LED
display.
* The Temperament and Key of Temperament settings will return to the
default type of Equal Piano, C after the power is turned off.
* To change these default settings, and specify a preferred Temperament
type and Key of Temperament to be selected automatically when
the instrument is turned on, please use the User Memory function
explained on page 58.
