7 Cleaning and servicing
Note
Any change of filter bag, adsorption filter, ultra-fine filter and the cleaning of
the filter chamber must be done in compliance with the chapter on protective
equipment.

To guarantee constant readiness for use and maintenance of value of the KaVo
product, the recommended servicing must be done.
This device contains harmful dust. Only professionals and wearing the appropri-
ate protective equipment may empty and service the device including emptying
the dust collector. Only original KaVo filters may be used.
Precautionary measures while servicing:
▪ Before removing the dust extraction system from the contaminated area, it
should be aspirated or wiped clean, and the openings on the untreated air
side must be sealed.

- Accessory parts (hoses, etc.) are to be considered contaminated and
treated correspondingly.
▪ Use suitable personal protective equipment.
▪ If possible, use a room with filtered automatic ventilation.
▪ Cleaning the servicing area.
- All contaminated parts that are not sufficiently cleaned during repairs
must be disposed of in sealable bags.
▪ They must be disposed of in accordance with valid regulations.

Note
Liquids inside the device can cause malfunctions.
When cleaning, make sure that no liquid enters the device.
Cleansers:
