Note
KaVo recommends to also replace the parts included in the delivery (brake ring,
O-rings, and spring washers) while installing a spare turbine.
Insert the brake ring using the stamp
▶ Turn the stamp and place the ring on the long end of the stamp.
▶ Insert the ring by means of the stamp.
▶ Check the seating of the ring. The ring must be flush with the spray insert.
Insert the spring washers
▶ Insert the enclosed spring washers into the lid and head housing.
Insert the O-rings
▶ Replace both O-rings.
▶ Spray O-rings with KaVo Spray and insert them in the head housing and cov‐
er.
Insert the replacement turbine
DANGER
Not maintaining a torque of 100 Ncm when tightening the cover.
Danger of injury; the cover can release and fall into the patient's mouth with the
replacement turbine.
▶ Use a torque wrench (such as a 1/4" KaVo torque wrench 100 Ncm
Mat. no. 1.002.4578) .
▶ Insert the replacement turbine into the cover and completely screw it into the
head housing.
▶ Tighten the cover clockwise with the wrench at a torque of 100 Ncm ± 6 Ncm.
