Assembly
Screw assembly pin

(installation aid)
onto rotor shaft · (left-handed thread) and
introduce rotor shaft into handpiece part £
from the front.
Push new ball bearing ¯ (with O-ring side
facing inwards) into the housing on the
rotor axle.
Unscrew assembly pin
E
(left-handed
thread) and push new ball bearing | over
magnetic side of rotor onto rotor shaft ·.
Hold rotor shaft with special key

and
tighten threaded ring \ with socket
wrench

again (note left-handed thread
).
Insert felt washer » over spring washer
and screw on grip tip #. Completely tight-
en grip tip by means of clip

Screw handpiece part £ to motor part fi
again.
To increase the life of the ball bear-
ing, KaVo recommends:
!
After changing the ball bearing, allow
the handpiece to run without an inserted
instrument for about 60 minutes at 10,000
to 15,000 rpm.
A 6.3 Changing the connecting
cable
Unscrew locking cap from the motor part
and disconnect the connecting cable in the
direction of the arrow.
Insert new connecting cable (3-pin) com-
pletely into motor part and screw back
locking cap.
