7 Troubleshooting
Note
If malfunctions cannot be located or eliminated using this troubleshooting guide, a
technician trained by KaVo must be commissioned to eliminate the problem.
Malfunction

Remedy
No camera image (LEDs
lighting).
Data connection to
treatment unit is defective.
▶ Check by technician is necessary.
USB connection defective.
▶ Check the USB connection (correct display in unit
manager).
PC was in hibernate mode. ▶ Shut down the PC and restart.
No camera image (black
display).
The display is not switched
on.
▶ Switch on the display.
USB connection defective.
▶ Check the USB connection (correct display in unit
manager).
PC was in hibernate mode. ▶ Shut down the PC and restart.
No reaction from camera
(LEDs do not light up).
PC is not switched on/de-
fective
▶ Switch on/ exchange PC
The camera is defective.
▶ Exchange the camera.
USB connection defective.
▶ Check the USB connection (correct display in unit
manager).
PC was in hibernate mode. ▶ Shut down the PC and restart.
LED lighting does not
switch off.
The camera is defective.
▶ Exchange the camera.
Camera support is defect-
ive.
▶ Check by technician is necessary.
PC was in hibernate mode. ▶ Shut down the PC and restart.
Image is milky.
Camera protective cover
has been put on wrongly.
▶ Turn the protective cover
▶ The clear view window of the protective cover must
be precisely over the exposure window of the cam-
era.
Camera protective cover is
not directly on the camera
window.
▶ Press the clear view window of the protective
cover to the exposure window of the camera.
