Installation
Slide the UFO 878 into any available slot. If baseband data to be exchanged (for example
UFZ 896) with a different module, the UFO 878 which must be arranged right or left.
Make sure that the UFO 878 is fully inserted and that the contact is made to the backplane
(the front plate of the UFO 878 is located on the front of the base unit).
Fix the two thumbscrews up and down (Torx screws). The UFO 878 is automatically rec-
ognised by the UFX 800. When the UFO 878 reaches the proper operating condition, the
green LED lights up. All other operating instructions, refer to the manual in the USW 800
operating software.

In the case of a fault, it may happen that the heatsink UFOcompact plus and
UFO
®
compact
modules reach temperatures of over 70°C. In this case, the
system normally switches off automatically. When handling the system under
such conditions please use the appropriate care.
When using UFOcompact plus in publicly accessible spaces, the front cover of the system
must be closed.
