- Do not put hot or warm food in the refrigerator, but wait until the food has cooled down.
- Never store food in the refrigerator which could emit volatile or ignitable gases.
- Delicate or perishable food must be placed directly next to the cooling elements.
- The freezer compartment is intended for ice-cream preparations and the short-term storage of
frozen food. It is not suitable for freezing food.
- Protect the refrigerator from direct sunlight.
- Keep in mind, if parking the vehicle in direct the sunlight, the increased indoor temperature may
adversely affect the power consumption and performance of the refrigerator.
- Always ensure unobstructed air circulation around the refrigerator.

Defrosting
An ice layer on the cooling ribs reduces the cooling capacity and shortens the service life of the
refrigerator. Therefore, the refrigerator has an automatic defrosting system that prevents the
formation of ice.
However, the refrigerator can also occasionally be defrosted manually. Remove all food, wrap it in
newspaper, and store the food in a cool place or in an insulated container. Subsequently, remove
the drawer (models C1 and C2 only) and leave the doors refrigerator’s open. Place dry towels
inside the refrigerator to soak up the condensation water. After defrosting, wipe the interior
carefully.
Do not apply force or sharp objects to remove the ice layer. Do not use a hair dryer in order to
accelerate the defrosting of the refrigerator.
