TECHNICAL FEATURES
INTRODUCTION
DSS25-28 is the Direct Station Select Module of KAREL and designed for ST26, ST30
digital telephones with in the context of the KAREL DS Series exchanges. The aim of
this product is to make easier for user to access other extensions, lines and some
features of the exchange and also user can monitor the situation of exchanges and
lines.
The digital DSS25-28 module enables the users to perform the functional operations,
as well as providing monitoring of the statuses of functions that have been assigned to
the keys, by a single key through its special-purpose keys and display on it.
The Digital DSS25-28 Direct Station Select Module consists of a keypad only. The
keypad of the DSS25-28 module consists of 28 programmable (14x2 matrix) special-
purpose keys and there is a LED for each key. The functions that have been assigned
to the keys can be monitored through the LEDs on it. All of those 28 keys are used for
assigning the access codes and there is no need to make any programming through
the DSS25-28 module.
COMPATIBILITY
The Digital DSS25-28 Direct Station Select Module is compatible with the entire range
of DS Series Systems. However DSS25-28 module should be used only with ST26 and
ST30 Digital Telephone Sets.
In order to supply the continuity of regular operation, the hardware versions of the cards
and that will be connected to the DSS25-28 Digital Direct Station Select Module should
be as the followings;
- The hardware version of EX200 (0/16U) Digital Extension Module should be ABF
or better,
- The hardware version of EX200 (0/8U) Digital Extension Module should be BAF or
better,
