Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible cause
of fault
Possible solution
Water
leaks/drips
from the safety
valve, or is
often present
on the floor
near the
cylinder in the
morning
Pressure
reducing valve,
water meter or
blocked non-
return valve on
the water intake.
Water pressure
into the home is
too high.
Fit an AX expansion
vessel which absorbs
expansion during
heating and fit a
pressure reducing
valve for stable water
pressure inside the
home. The pressure
reducing valve is
adjusted according to
the pressure in the
expansion vessel.
Contact authorized
installer.
The safety valve
is worn, or
particles from
impure water
have become
stuck between
the membrane
and the valve
seat.
Try to flush the safety
valve through with
water. Open valve
approx. 1 minute. If the
valve still leaks, it must
be replaced. Contact
authorized installer.
Leak from

Verify as follows:
a) turn off the
electrical supply, b)
unscrew the cover,
c) visually check
whether there is a leak
from the heating
element. If so, replace
