3.4.1.5 UV Treatment (Option)
1. Switch on the UV irradiator with the switch (39/1); the LEDs (39/2,
3, 4) flash briefly.
2. During the switching-on phase (1 to 2 minutes) the LEDs light up
in the sequence red (39/2), yellow (39/3), and green (52/4).
3. After the switching-on phase, the green LED "Function o.k." (39/4)
illuminates; the UV treatment is active.

In case of decreasing UV irradiation intensity (<75 %), the yellow "Pre-
alarm" LED (39/3) illuminates. If the UV irradiation intensity sinks be-
low 50 %, the red "Main alarm" LED (39/2) illuminates. The irradiator
must be replaced then, according to Section 4.3.3.
The upper section (39/5) of the hour meter indicates the irradiation du-
ration, the bottom section (39/6) the switching cycle of the UV irradia-
tor.
3.4.2 Automatic Operation (Standard Operating Mode)
Before switching on make sure
that
:
• the levers and the hand wheel
of the Double Pass control
panel are in position
I "Single
Pass" (option)
• the valves V10, V12 and V15
are shut
• the starting position of the con-
centrate return (V05)
- open for untreated water
< 10 000 ppm salt content
- shut for untreated water
> 10 000 ppm salt content.
NOTE In Fig. 40, valve V05 points in the direction of flow
and is thus open.
