validate. You can use the navigation keys whenever necessary to scroll through the
list of suggestions matching your request. Select one of them and a navigation
session will start automatically.
New address by postal code
: select the destination town and enter its postal code, street
name and number, in sequence.
Last destinations
: select your destination address from the "Last Destinations" list. You
can also erase the list of “last destinations”, to do so, please refer to the “Parameters”
section
K-TAG
: select the category then the K-Tag you want to navigate to. For more details on K-
TAGs and how to add and manage them, please refer to "K-Tags" chapter.
Point of Interest:
this navigation option allows you to select a useful address or point of
interest (POI):
o
By category near your current position.
o
By category near a new address.
o
By name near a new address.
Itinerary
: select a departure address and a destination address, Kapten will calculate the
best route for the chosen navigation method. The calculated route will be described as a
road book. Navigate through it using the navigation keys, and listen to the navigation
instructions for your trip.
During navigation.
Navigation information is displayed and announced during the course. Use the keys on the
physical keyboard to get additional information while navigating:
Key 0
: Pause / Resume voice guidance.
Key 1
: Where am I ?
Key 2
: Last instruction.
Key 3
: Next instruction.
Key 4
: Current speed.
Key 5
: Speed limit.
Key 6
: Remaining distance.
Key 7
: Search POI around.
Key 8
: Enable/Disable free navigation.
Key 9
: GPS signal.
Additional options are available from the Menu key:
Next instruction
: repeats the next navigation instruction.
Last instruction
: repeats the last navigation instruction.
Current Destination
: announces the current destination.
Remaining distance
: announces the distance remaining to be covered.
Arriving time
: announces the arrival time.
Current navigation mode
: announces the current navigation mode.
Switch to pedestrian mode
: allows you to switch to pedestrian navigation without re-
entering the destination address.
Switch to car mode
: allows you to switch to car navigation without re-entering the
destination address.
Roadbook
: allows you to activate the roadbook mode during navigation.
Stop navigation
: allows you to stop the navigation in session.
Parameters
: Activates the parameters menu.
K-Tag
: activates the K-Tag menu.
GPS signal
: announces the GPS signal strength.
Where am I ?
: Announces your current location.
