16.5. Scanner and Daemon:
report messages
The list of report messages.
During the check the program displays report messages (these messages
can also be saved to the log file, if predefined). Object names are displayed
on the left-hand side of your screen. To the right of each object, you may
see one of the following messages:
Ok
– no virus or virus-like instructions were detected in the file or sec-
tor. This message will be displayed only if you preset the scanner
to report virus-free objects.
The sector check function under your operating system may be not
available.
Infected: <VIRUS_NAME>
– the defined virus (e.g.
OneHalf.3544
) has
been detected in the file or sector.
Disinfected: <VIRUS_NAME>
– the defined virus has been successfully
deleted from the file/sector.
Deleted <VIRUS_NAME>
– the object infected with the defined virus has
been deleted.
Disinfection failed: <VIRUS_NAME>
– the object is infected by the de-
fined virus and the program cannot disinfect it, because: the ob-
ject is infected in a so-called incorrect way, is located on a write-
protected disk, or is controlled by some other program, etc.
Warning: <VIRUS_NAME>
– the program detected the instruction com-
bination that is similar to the defined
virus, but the complete in-
struction set was not detected. If you see a lot of these mes-
sages, the probability that your computer is infected by a new
modification of the defined
virus is very high.
Suspicion: <TYPE>
– the heuristic detection tool, Code Analyzer, de-
tected a chain of instructions similar to the defined virus type.
